Ryan Reynolds is the President and Principal of Grimes Insurance Agency in Lubbock, Texas — one of West Texas’s oldest and most trusted independent insurance agencies, founded in 1948. With more than two decades of hands-on insurance experience spanning personal lines, commercial lines, and life insurance, Ryan brings a depth of expertise that few insurance professionals in Texas can match.
A Career Built on Performance
Ryan began his insurance career as an independent agent in the Houston area, where he quickly distinguished himself as a top performer. During his time as a State Farm agent, he earned the prestigious President’s Club award — an honor reserved for the top 5% of agents out of more than 18,000 nationwide — every single year he held the position. He was also recognized as a Top 100 agent across the entire State Farm network.
That track record of excellence led to a leadership role within State Farm itself, where Ryan spent 16 years as a State Farm Executive, including time as an Agency Field Marketing Specialist. During that period, he mentored and helped launch more than 49 entrepreneurs into their own State Farm agencies — giving him a uniquely broad perspective on what makes insurance businesses succeed from the inside out.
Leading Grimes Insurance
In 2019, Ryan joined Grimes Insurance Agency as Principal and President, taking the helm of a 75-year-old institution with deep roots in the Lubbock community. Under his leadership, the agency has modernized its operations, expanded its team, and continued its mission of protecting West Texans across personal, commercial, and life insurance lines.

Community Leadership in Lubbock
Ryan is a committed member of the Lubbock community. He serves on the board of Communities in Schools — a national nonprofit supporting students at risk of dropping out — and the West Texas Mortgage Bankers Association. He also created and leads the Grimes Teacher of the Month program, which recognizes 12 outstanding Lubbock educators each month for going above and beyond for their students.
