Marianna Grimes-Chapman is the daughter of our founder, Lester Grimes. She grew up right here in Lubbock, TX and attended Coronado High School then graduated from The Caruth School of Dental Hygiene in Dallas. After a short stint as a Dental Hygienist, her father, Lester talked her into joining Grimes Insurance Agency. Here is where Marianna found her passion. She has been here at Grimes Insurances since 1984 and has loved every minute of it. She takes great pride in building relationships and helping customers make informed decisions about their insurance needs.
Marianna earned her Life and Health license in 1984 and her Property and Casualty license in 1985. She has been very involved in her community and industry throughout the years by serving as Past President (twice) of the Independent Insurance Agents of Lubbock, different State insurance committees, and has served on Agent Advisory Councils for various insurance companies. Currently, she serves on Safeco’s Agency Advisory Council.
Marianna married Jerry Chapman in 1985 and together they have three children. Her oldest son is a recruiter for Texas Tech University. Her daughter, a Dentist in the Ft. Worth area and their youngest son works at Grimes Insurance in the Sales Department. Marianna and Jerry have three beautiful grandchildren and they both are avid tennis players and love spending time in the Mountains.
